Pillar Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

Pillar ("Pillar", "we", "us") is a caregiving app that connects a caregiver and the person they care for ("household members") around daily medication, routines, and wellbeing. This policy explains what information Pillar collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.

Pillar is developed and operated by Aadil Halepotra, an individual developer based in India. This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable.

Information we collect

Pillar collects only what's needed to run a shared household account:

How we use this information

We do not sell your information, and we do not use household or health data for advertising.

Who can see your information

Data lives inside your household and is visible only to the members of that household (the caregiver and the person being cared for), according to the role-based permissions built into the app — for example, only a caregiver can edit medication schedules, and only the person being cared for can control what's shared from their profile.

We share data with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data retention

We retain household and health data for as long as the household exists. Medication and dose logs are kept as a historical record for the household, so they remain visible to the other members while any of them is still using Pillar.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, and it takes effect immediately (see Your choices below). Deleting your account removes your sign-in, your profile and your membership of the household. If you are the last member, the household and its entire history are deleted with you. Backups are purged on our providers' own cycle, within 30 days.

Your choices

Children's privacy

Pillar is intended for use by adults coordinating care for another adult. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including per-household access rules enforced at the database level, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pillar changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and post material changes within the app.

Governing law

This policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of India. If you are located outside India, you consent to your information being processed in India as described in this policy.
